ZTRONICA Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 1, 2026

ZTRONICA ("ZTRONICA," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect your personal information when you use the ZTRONICA downloadable software, the website at ztronica.com, and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood it. If you do not agree with this policy, do not use the Service.

This Privacy Policy does not apply where ZTRONICA processes personal data solely on behalf of a business customer as a data processor. In those cases, the business customer's privacy policy governs.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account Information. When you register for an account, we collect your name, email address, username, and password (stored in hashed form). If you sign up through a third-party provider such as Google or GitHub, we receive your name and email address from that provider.

Payment Information. If you subscribe to a paid Plan, we collect billing information including your payment card details. Payment card data is processed and stored by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full payment card number.

Inputs and Prompts. The Service allows you to submit text prompts, code, project files, descriptions, and other content ("Inputs") to generate AI Outputs. Inputs may contain personal information if you choose to include it. How we handle Inputs depends on your Privacy Mode setting, as described in Section 4.

Communications. If you contact us by email or through support channels, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

Feedback. If you submit ratings, bug reports, or other feedback about the Service, we may store that information.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Device and Technical Information. When you install or use the Service, we automatically collect information about your device, including device type, operating system version, hardware identifiers, and software version of ZTRONICA.

Log and Usage Data. We collect information about how you use the Service, including features accessed, generation types requested, timestamps, error logs, crash reports, and general interaction patterns. This data is used to operate, maintain, and improve the Service.

IP Address and Location. We collect your IP address for security purposes, fraud detection, and to determine a general geographic location (country or region level). We do not collect precise GPS location data.

Account Activity. We collect data about subscription status, credit usage, billing history, and account settings.

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not knowingly collect the following categories of sensitive information:

  • Genetic or biometric data
  • Health or medical information
  • Financial account credentials beyond what is needed for payment processing
  • Government-issued identification numbers
  • Information from children under the age of 18

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To Provide and Operate the Service. We use your account information, Inputs, usage data, and payment information to authenticate your account, process subscriptions, deliver AI generation features, and maintain the Service.

To Improve the Service. We use aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized usage data and technical logs to analyze how the Service is used, identify bugs, optimize performance, and develop new features.

To Communicate with You. We use your email address to send account-related notices, subscription confirmations, billing receipts, security alerts, and updates about the Service. We may also send promotional communications, which you may opt out of at any time.

To Process Payments. We use your billing information to process subscription charges, handle refunds, and detect and prevent fraudulent transactions.

For Safety and Security. We use account information, usage data, and IP addresses to detect abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, prevent unauthorized access, and protect the security and integrity of the Service.

To Comply with Legal Obligations. We may use and disclose your information where required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or requests from government authorities.

AI Model Training. We will not use your Inputs or Outputs for AI model training unless you have explicitly opted in. See Section 4 for full details on how Privacy Mode controls this.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising purposes.

We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

Service Providers. We share information with third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service, including cloud hosting providers, payment processors, analytics services, customer support tools, and AI model providers. These vendors are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services on our behalf, and are subject to data protection requirements consistent with this Privacy Policy.

AI Model Providers. When you use AI generation features, your Inputs are transmitted to AI model providers to generate Outputs. When Privacy Mode is enabled, we contractually require these providers to implement zero data retention and not use your Inputs for training. When Privacy Mode is disabled, provider data practices may differ, as described in Section 4.

Business Transfers. If ZTRONICA is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy as a result.

Legal Compliance and Protection. We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to: (a) comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process; (b) respond to lawful requests from government authorities; (c) protect the safety, rights, or property of ZTRONICA, our users, or the public; or (d) enforce our Terms of Service.

With Your Consent. We may share your information with third parties when you have given us your explicit consent to do so.

Team Account Administrators. If you use ZTRONICA through a Teams plan managed by your employer or organization, the account administrator may have access to your account information, usage data, and generated content within the shared workspace.

4. Privacy Mode and AI Data Handling

4.1 Privacy Mode Enabled (Default)

Privacy Mode is enabled by default for all accounts. When Privacy Mode is enabled:

  • Your Inputs (code, prompts, project content) are transmitted to AI model providers solely for the purpose of generating the requested Output.
  • We require AI model providers to implement Zero Data Retention (ZDR), meaning Inputs and Outputs are not stored by the provider beyond the life of the request.
  • Your Inputs and Outputs are never used to train AI models by ZTRONICA or by any of our model providers.
  • We may temporarily cache file content on our servers during a session to reduce latency. Cached content is encrypted and is not permanently stored.

4.2 Privacy Mode Disabled

If you choose to disable Privacy Mode in your account settings:

  • ZTRONICA may store your Inputs, Outputs, and usage data on our servers and may use this data to improve the Service and train AI models.
  • AI model providers may temporarily store Inputs and Outputs in accordance with their own policies to improve inference performance. This data is generally deleted after a limited period.
  • We may share Inputs with AI model providers when you select specific provider models, subject to those providers' own data terms.

You can re-enable Privacy Mode at any time from your account settings. Re-enabling Privacy Mode will apply going forward and does not retroactively delete previously stored data. Contact us at [email protected] to request deletion of previously stored content.

4.3 Safety Review Exception

Regardless of Privacy Mode setting, if content you submit is flagged by our automated systems as a potential violation of our Terms of Service or safety policies, our team may review it to investigate the potential violation and improve our safety systems. This review is limited and does not constitute general storage or training use.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on the ZTRONICA website (ztronica.com). The downloadable ZTRONICA software does not use browser cookies but may transmit usage data to our servers as described in Section 1.2.

On our website, we use:

Strictly Necessary Cookies. Required for the website to function, including session management and authentication.

Functional Cookies. Used to remember your preferences and settings.

Analytics Cookies. Used to understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it. We use analytics tools that may set cookies or use similar tracking mechanisms.

You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the website.

We do not engage in cross-site tracking for advertising purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Account information is retained for the duration of your account and for a reasonable period after deletion to comply with legal obligations.

Inputs and Outputs: When Privacy Mode is enabled, Inputs are not permanently stored beyond the life of the generation request. When Privacy Mode is disabled, Inputs and Outputs may be retained for use in improving the Service until you request deletion or opt out.

Billing records are retained as required by applicable financial and tax laws, typically for a minimum of seven years.

Usage logs are retained in identifiable form for a limited period (generally 90 days) and may be retained longer in aggregated, de-identified form.

When your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, subject to the exceptions above.

7. Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments.

No security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee that your information will never be accessed, disclosed, or altered in a way contrary to this Privacy Policy. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. If you suspect your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at [email protected].

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 18, please contact us at [email protected].

We will respond to verifiable requests within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

9.1 Maine Residents

Maine's Notice of Risk to Personal Data Act requires us to notify you if a breach of security occurs that compromises certain categories of your personal information. We will provide such notice as required by law. ZTRONICA also acknowledges and will comply with applicable provisions of any enacted comprehensive data privacy legislation in Maine that applies to our operations.

9.2 California Residents

If you are a California resident, California privacy laws may provide you with additional rights. We do not sell personal information as defined under California law. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. For questions about your California rights, contact us at [email protected].

9.3 EEA, UK, and Swiss Residents

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, please be aware that your personal information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may not have data protection laws equivalent to those in your jurisdiction. Where we transfer data internationally, we do so in compliance with applicable data transfer requirements, including through appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.

You may have rights under applicable law including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, and the right to data portability. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights.

10. Third-Party Links and Integrations

The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, services, or platforms. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with through the Service.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and notify you by email or through the Service.
